SimpleSTORY - The unnamed 42-year-old is believed to have suffered a stroke while watching James Cameron's blockbuster in the city of Hsinchu, before dying a week later in hospital.

Experts have since concluded that the man's death was most likely caused by over-excitement, reports Metro.

A local doctor told the newspaper: "It's likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms."

The Oscar-tipped movie has previously attracted criticism from campaigners in Italy and was last week removed from cinemas in China following government intervention.
