SimpleCELEB - The 'LoveGame' singer, who has previously advocated equal rights for gay people, will present the Hands Up for Marriage Equality event in Atlantic City, NJ on January 16.

The night will help raise funds for four organisations that advocate LGBT community efforts: Empire State Pride Agenda, Equality Pennsylvania, Garden State Equality and The Power.

"I am honoured to be able to continue to raise awareness and money for this cause and these outstanding organisations," GaGa said in a statement.

"Organisations like these are in the trenches every day working on behalf of all of us whether you are LGBT or straight. Equal and full civil rights are supposed to be for all of us."

According to reports, GaGa recently threw a drink over a homophobic man after he hurled abuse at her and Adam Lambert in a Canada nightclub. [digitalspy.com@satw]
